Given most banking card have EMV and NFC chip, why do banks not?
If you have an NFC-enabled phone then it has two chips in it, the SIM and the Secure Element, that are essentially the same as the chip on your bank card. You dont need to access the bank card to get high security. There might be other reasons for wanting to access it, but since Apple wont let you, it doesnt matter.
